Updated: Nov 19, 2023

I know when you signed up to be a beauty professional you didn't think you'd have operate a business. You thought you would be able to just practice your craft. Truth is, I thought the same.

But as an independent beauty pro or one who have a salon suite, ensuring your business is protected sololey lies on you.

Here are a few ways you should protect your business:

  • Document client visits by taking photos and/or videos.

  • Make notes on client's accounts (like doctors do) each visit.

  • Have clients complete contracts for services like: chemical services, extension services, client intake form etc.

  • Have legal representation.

  • Have business insurance.

*This is not legal advice.
