How to Maximize your Home Depot Credit Card as a Beauty Pro

Did you know that having a Home Depot credit card could be beneficial to your business? What if I told you, you can do more with your Home Depot credit card then just making improvements to your salon space or for building upgrades?

Having business credit can be beneficial to your business in many ways. But truth is, when you start building your business credit, you may only get approved for non-revolving credit first. This means obtaining business credit accounts that requires you to pay the balance in full for within typically a 30 day period and sometimes 60 or 90 days.

Home Depot commercial credit account was one of the first business credit accounts my business was approved for. The account my business obtained is a non-revolving account that requires the balance to be paid in full within 60 days.

When I initially received my business credit card, I really didn’t know what to buy from Home Depot. I thought I would only use it to purchase cleaning supplies or other salon upgrade materials. However, I know the health of my business credit lies in showing usage on my credit card and payment history.

One day a lightbulb struck and that’s where I learned how to use the Home Depot credit card as a beauty bro!

Here’s the hack! If you don’t need your credit card to purchase building supplies, you can use it to purchase a gift card like Visa or Mastercard. These cards can be used anywhere in the USA where Visa and Mastercard are accepted. To help with my business credit health and to preserve my business cash flow there are times when I will purchase a Visa or Mastercard gift card. Then I will use the gift card to purchase my salon supplies or other business related purchases.

That buys me about 60 days before I have to make my credit card payment and I am able to keep my credit active.
